Yeah, you definitely need patience lol. I failed this mission a couple times because I lost patience and over aggroed. For the Savants, just flag your heroes apart and henchies in the back so Searing Heat doesn't hit them all. Searing Heat really kills them.

i had to do the mission and bonus on separate runs. that takes a lot of pressure off trying to keep track of too much at once.

Great advice in this thread... flagged heros at center shrine and just kept cappin the left and center one until the mantle deplete themselves works great. If it works this well in HM NM should be a breeze for anyone having trouble with this.

Easy mission, once you know the trick: don't try to cap all 3 shrines. Cap the first 2, and camp your H&H in the middle area. If you have Heroes, this is incredibly easy! Simply make sure they have snares and some healing while you run and keep 1-2 shrines capped (the first one you hit, and the one on the left). Your H&H will wear down/kill the mobs while you keep on eye on having at least 1 shrine capped at all times. (Cap the 2nd one, get a crystal, then camp out of range until the Mantle go after you remaining shrine. Cap the one they retook while your H&H are beating them up. Repeat.)
Eventually, they run out of mobs and you can unflag (if necessary) and kill the leet Mantle for the bonus, then go and cap the final shrine.
Fun mission to f*ck with the mobs! [spike trap] is lots of fun!

If we're talking normal mode and unless you want the bonus the mission can be soloed, literally: just one player.
Start running immediately, cap the shrines in this order: North, East, North, South. Done. Avoid the white mantle. You don't even need running skills.
